Written for Irving McArthur High School, an unlikely vocal jazz tune works really well as a half-comical. half-serious jazz arrangement in a up-tempo swing feel. Some hades. and one total quote. of Darmon Meader's chart on Oh, Lady Be Good for New York Voices and some new lyric that play with the original idea. A cool bass line is reminiscent of Wes Montgomery's Four on Six. A soli section, a drum solo, a combination of wordless vocal and new lyric. all make this chart unique, interesting and a blast to sing. SATB with rhythm section.
