This new collection by Marty Haugen features psalms, biblical canticles, and a new setting of the Te Deum for use in the jubilee year. Part of Marty's Soli Deo Gloria series, Come, Let Us Sing for Joy offers a wealth of liturgical resources for the Church in this millennium year and beyond. Recommended for popular use in the United States throughout the Jubilee, "Te Deum. You Are God" was commissioned by the National Catholic Conference of Bishops Subcommittee on the Third Millennium. Written in a call-and-response form, this setting makes the most of assembly participation, and it also offers a Spanish translation by Jaime Cortez. Several other psalms and canticles featured in this collection are included as part of a morning prayer setting commissioned by Luther College in Iowa in honor of music professor Weston Noble.
