Absolutely delightful! This inventive blend of the traditional French Christmas carol, He Is Born (Il Est Ne) and the traditional African folksong, Sing Noel, is filled with wonder and surprise. It opens quietly with the folksong in call-and-response. Two quick modulations contribute to the rising excitement before the entry of the French carol. Then, through sheer genius, the two combine for a spectacular finish.
